Inspiration #13

This week we’re switching back to the kitchen as we dive into spring (although it will potentially snow here later today). Because nothing says spring to me like bright whites and clean surfaces. It has me itching to do some spring cleaning…or demo-ing…in the kitchen. Enjoy and let me know what you think!
Large format marble and open shelves above the kitchen sink have me swooning. I think even Julia Childs would like it.
I’m not sold on the overhead lighting, but the island and bar seating at the same plane is pretty great. The kitchen is so bright with natural light – I love it!
Talk about bright! This is one gorgeous little kitchen. I can’t tell if I want to be beachside or enjoying a Swedish summer in this space.
There’s a mix of materials going on in this mid-century modern kitchen and I kind of love it. The space is larger, so the dark facing of the cabinets doesn’t make it feel too small.
So very simple, this little kitchen. It makes me wonder where they put all their things, or if they just don’t have many. That wood looks like buttah…
The full bath water issue from last month has me thinking about the kitchen ceiling (and how I will be needing to tear it out sooner than expected). I’ve been wondering if I can do an open joist style like below. It brings a touch of warmth to the cool, white surfaces.
