Inspiration #27

This week’s inspiration stays in the bathroom. Last week we looked at linear bathroom layouts, but we’re switching to a clustered bathroom layout this week. The master bathroom space is mostly rectangular, so while I don’t have as much space to work as in some of the pictures below, grouped functions that feel open are still a possibility.

This is the latest in a weekly post of residential architecture inspiration. If you want to see past weeks, you can go here. If you want to see them curated on my pinterest (sometimes before they even hit the blog), go here.

This bathroom layout, while having separated functions, still appears open due to the glass walls. The color contrast from wall to floor is nice, although a bit dark.

The full bathroom layout in the Nook has dark tile walls, but the positioning along the house means lots of natural light. It appears that the floor is sealed concrete, which is an interesting choice and has me wondering if it’s heated.

Another bathroom shot from Northbourne, featured previously, showing a bathroom layout with shower and tub spaces working together. The chicken-wire-pattern tile is busy but seems to work well with the natural light.

This grouped bathroom layout makes use of its relatively small rectangle for all necessary functions while also remaining a semblance of privacy for certain needs and openness in general. The whites and minimal fixtures are very calming.

This Polish bathroom layout by Spacelab feels open while still providing privacy. I love the tile pattern, too, but am wondering how hard it might be to clean.

This bathroom layout is for all the chips on the table. The large format tile makes it muted and calm to the eye, the glass divider maintains an open feel, and the hints of wood and nature bring life to the space. Royal flush, ladies and gents.
