Inspiration #30
This week’s inspiration stays in the kitchen. After traveling the past two weeks, eating delicious croissants, and seeing how people in northern Spain live, I’m craving the minimal life and clean lines that come with it. So let’s see how that looks in a minimal kitchen.
This is the latest in a weekly post of residential architecture inspiration. If you want to see past weeks, you can go here. If you want to see them curated on my pinterest (sometimes before they even hit the blog), go here.
Let’s zoom in. This minimal kitchen base cabinet and counter makes me swoon. So clean. The bare walls are so calming. I bet it’s so much fun to cook in this kitchen.
Zooming out a bit to another minimal kitchen and open shelves. The clean horizontal lines and simple color palette are soothing. I bet it’s fun to throw a party with those dishes.
And out even further to cabinets, shelves. and a range hood in a minimal kitchen. A continued simple color palette for this kitchen and blocking of the range hood and shelving together. Perfect.
Zooming out to a partial view of a minimal kitchen with lots of windows and no wall shelves. The boxed openings and simple lines help create a clean, calm feel. While this is in a penthouse in Australia, it would be easy to picture this in northern Spain…or most anywhere.
Another full shot of a minimal kitchen, this time with a bit more stuff thanks to the built-in storage, but still open walls and lots of light. The compact effectiveness is definitely common in Europe and very pleasing to the eye.
Another full view of a minimal kitchen – this time a bit more spacious and with more stuff, but still very calm and muted on the color scale. This helps make simple pops of color, like the flowers on the table, create a bigger impact without the space becoming cluttered.
